Winter storm Grayson is effecting vessel scheduling for East Coast Ports and has led to terminal closures in anticipation of freezing temperatures and ice and snow conditions.
Governor Nathan Deal of Georgia has declared a state of emergency for 28 Georgia counties in the coastal region. One to three inches of snow and ice accumulation is expected and container deliveries may be delayed.
Per the Georgia Port Authority, all terminal operations in Savannah and Brunswick were closed at 0400 today, and will remain closed until further notice. The Garden City Terminal and Ocean Terminal Container gates are also closed for commercial truck traffic all day Wednesday.
