The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has issued notice on a proposed 10 percent tariff covering over 6,000 8-digit tariff lines for Chinese origin goods ($200 billion worth of imports). The USTR is seeking comments and responses in accordance with the following schedule.
July 27, 2018: Due date for filing request to appear and a summary of the expected testimony at the public hearing, and for filing pre-hearing submission.
August 17, 2018: Due date for submission of written comments.
August 20 – 23, 2018: The Section 301 Committee will convene a public hearing in Washington, DC
August 30, 2018: Due date for submission of post-hearing rebuttal comments.

Please note the above is in addition to the 25 percent tariffs that was effective July 6, and the proposed 25 percent tariffs issued by the USTR on June 20 that is currently under the public comment period.
