Canadian Pacific (CP) Railway is in negotiation with two of its unions through the collective bargaining process. In an April 11, CP Customer Station Bulletin, CP has advised that a significant gap remains between the parties, and if an agreement cannot be reached, a work stoppage could occur as early as April 21 that would severely impact CP’s ability to continue to provide safe and efficient railway service. The Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association has sent a letter to Transport Canada asking for their attention and intervention to avoid a strike.
