On February 14, Bill C-30, the legislation to implement the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) was presented and passed by the House of Commons. On February 15, the European Parliament voted in favor of CETA, completing the ratification process for the EU. The EU and Canada must now pass legislation and make regulatory changes before CETA can go into force.
